Super Volunteer applications are due by May 30th.   Kim shared her experience volunteering and Jackie’s.

Old Business:
Latifah Saafir will be here June 18th and 19th for classes.

Swaps and Challenges:
Traditional block to modern blocks were turned in and displayed at the meeting.  These blocks will be used to make a charity quilt for a child who is aging out of the foster care system.

Show and Tell:
Alice shared her “Sweet Tea and Butter Beans” quilt from Jen Kingwell’s pattern Green Tea and Sweet Beans.  It is stunning!  She also modeled the smock she learned to make in Lynn's class.  This is the second smock for Alice.  She gave her first to her daughter.

Geri wore the smock made in Lynn’s class and showed a double wedding ring quilt.

Susan told the group about a quilt she made and shared a photo.

Marybeth finished her “I get cold too” quilt she made for her husband which she quilted herself.

Cathy showed a quilt top that she made and Marybeth quilted.

Keri showed the group her Camelot and Project 48 blocks.

Cheryl brought a quilt she made from a shoebox exchange with her quilting group in Mexico.  They all made blocks when she was moving away and she shared the quilt she made with those blocks.  This was her oldest UFO.

Delynne made a giant hexie quilt for charity.

Sarah showed some softies she made, a seahorse and pig.  She also made a Palmetto and Moon quilt and announced to the group that she was moving away.  The group will miss her.

Jennifer made a “go anywhere” bag by noodlehead.  At the last sew day she started a wonky star quilt top and finished that.  She also made a half square and square quilt top from a Purl Soho pattern that she showed.

Phoebe modeled a Sailor top she made in Lotta Jasndotter fabric.  She shared photos with the group of her smock in Africa.  A woman fell in love with it and Phoebe gave it to her.  She is sending her Lynn’s smock pattern so that this woman and her friends can make more.

Linda told everyone about an LED light pad that she found on Amazon for $45 that has been helpful in transferring patterns.  She also made a grandmothers flower garden from a Missouri Star pattern out of charm packs.   Next she made a curtain out of a jelly roll.

Iliana made a quilt from giveaway fabric for charity.  She made a Minecraft pixel quilt that had 1256 squares.  She also did a Cathedral window table runner and placemats.

Carol made a charity quilt with dinosaurs.  She also showed a Tula Pink plus quilt in the Elizabeth line.   Finally she made a Jay Bird Quilt pattern.

Cheryl told the group about a thread painting class from Craftsy and said that it was a great class.

Kim announced that there was an opening at Quilt Camp and asked to contact her.
