In attendance: Delyn, Susan, Debbie, Tami, Keri, Marybeth, Geri, Alice, Phoebe, Lynn, Amy and guest Sarah
Sandy started the meeting and asked the guild to vote on the date to deliver the AME quilts- the 22nd was decided on. The Stitch magazine article is out- see attachment for the article if you missed it.
The Christmas party will be on December 12th from 2- 5 and we will take photos of the swapped items. Please bring a dish and let Phoebe know ahead of time what you will bring.
Program: Keri did a presentation on hand piecing. She likes this type of work because it is portable and you can work on it anywhere. She provided everyone with charm squares, needle and thread so that they could try out the technique. She premarks the piecing lines with a Sew Fine marking tool prior to stitching. The stitching begins at the intersection of the seams and not at the edge of the fabric. Put needle in at the intersection and take a backstitch (also do this at the end).
i think the quilt below was one that Keri hand-pieced...please correct me if i am wrong and i will give proper attribution!

I'd love to read the article about the quilts made for Mother Emanuel. Could you share a link to the magazine, please? I've been unable to find it online.
