May 2013 meeting reminder

Hello quilting pals!!!

As usual, our meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month so we'll be meeting next Tuesday, May 28th at 6.30pm at the SMHA offices located at 400 Hibben St.  

If you are participating in the block swap, please remember to return Linda's block.  Karen King is up next on the list for May.  If you are participating in the swap but can't attend this month's meeting, please buddy up with someone to return your block and pick up next month's.  

Also, Tamie and Kelly B sent me emails about a quilt drive that the Oklahoma City MQG is doing to help victims of the tornadoes in Moore, OK.  The guild there is collecting finished quilts to distribute so if you have anything that you'd like to donate, please bring them to the meeting and we will get them to OKC.  You can read more about what they're doing here -

As an alternate, quicker project we could make pillowcases to send if you don't have a finished quilt handy.  Since this will be a long weekend, I'm hoping maybe some of you will have a few minutes to whip one (or more!) up for us.  Here's a link to a quick and easy pillowcase pattern -
